How Energy Healing Helped With . . . a Fearful Rescue Dog

Gracie is a 10 year old border collie who we adopted five and a half years ago. She had been ‘rescued’ from an abusive situation.

Gracie’s rescuer took Gracie to the vets for a check up. She had a hip injury (dislocated hip), and a rib had been broken that had self repaired. She also had a scar on her head, one missing tooth and a chipped tooth. An operation was performed and the vet removed about 1.5 inches of damaged bone.

After Gracie recovered she was put up for adoption and she came to live with us.
Gracie liked to spend a lot of time in our closet, she did not like to be petted, especially around the chest area. She was distrustful of almost everybody and spent a lot of time vocalizing and snapping. She made progress over the years but still displayed unpredictable behavior. For example she would come to be petted and then after a couple of minutes would begin to snarl, snap and vocalize. She was very jealous of our other pets and could not stand it if they were getting attention and she was not.

I contacted Kim after seeing her ad in a magazine. The sessions were affordably priced so I decided to give it a try.

Gracie has had 3 sessions so far and the progress is quite remarkable. Kim worked through Gracie’s chakras and found that a lot of them were closed. She worked to release the tension in Gracie’s body by telling Gracie that it was o.k. to trust, that she was safe and we wanted her to be happy. Gracie ‘told’ Kim that her previous life was very chaotic, one minute she would be happy, then her owners would explode with anger. She also said she was locked in a closet. Another significant thing was that she told Kim a man had taken her out and had shot a gun. It scared her so much she was terrified. This is important because if Gracie hears a car backfire, or if something as simple as hardcover book falls on the floor she would flee to the closet in our house. Also a hockey puck slapping against the boards of a local rink would send her into a complete panic.

After 2 treatments Gracie was spending way more time with us in the living room. She also found another favorite spot, out in the doorway of the bathroom/laundry room. The most amazing thing is that Gracie now spends a lot of time on the couch when we are not home! Previously she always headed for the closet when she saw us leaving the house. She is also way more trusting and loves to hop up on the couch for major cuddling sessions. On our walks she was always a happy dog, quite confident. She ‘told’ Kim that she likes to be outside running free on our walks.

The difference has been quite significant and we are all very pleased with her progress. What I find really interesting is that prior to the sessions I did not share many details of Gracie’s behavior other than the fact that she was a rescue dog and we wanted to make her as comfortable with us as possible. It was our Gracie who informed Kim of her various character traits and past history. We will continue with ‘tune up’ sessions over the next while and see where it leads Gracie. It has been money well spent and I would recommend any concerned owners to give it a try.
