How Energy Healing Helped With . . . Finding a Lost Animal
My cat Mitts absolutely loves the outdoors and literally races to the door each morning to go enjoy the world. Usually she comes back late in the evening or the following morning, but on one winter day in Dec. 2009 she went out and did not return. I began to grow quite concerned, and called Kim for some help and guidance. I decided that wherever she was, she would likely benefit from some energy work and if she needed help, perhaps Kim could gather some information as to how we might assist her.
Fortunately, Mitts was open to receiving a session from Kim and connected with her as soon as one was offered. Kim relayed to me that our normally very energetic and confident kitty was scared, nervous and in hiding somewhere. Something had scared her into a particular place and she didn’t know if she could come out though she indicated to Kim that she did know her way home. Her energy level felt low, so Kim helped Mitts to come into a more balanced state. She also encouraged Mitts to gather her strength and tap into her innate strong will to find the courage to come out. Kim told me Mitts was not far from home and that she could hear dogs barking in the area. She could also smell something rancid where Mitts was hiding. She told Mitts that she would ask me to go around the neighbourhood (where dogs were barking) and call out her name. She stressed to Mitts that it was imperative she call back so I could find her.
So out I went the next morning. I walked up and down the streets stopping where I knew dogs were located and called Mitt’s name aloud. After a while, I found myself becoming peaceful and almost meditative. As I walked along, I prayed for her well being and for guidance and then just relaxed into the whole experience.
I passed a house that had been abandoned and decided to peek about calling for Mitts. As I got closer to the house, I heard a cat faintly meowing. I stepped up to the front door and the cry grew louder. Even though I couldn’t figure out where the sound was coming from, I kept calling her name and continued to hear a meow in return. My heart began to pound as I slowly entered the abandoned house.
Upon entering I saw old smelly food all over the floor that had been dumped out of a refrigerator. I said a prayer for myself and stepped further into the house. There was a closed door to my left and I decided to open it. As I did, I looked up and there was Mitts running as fast as she could down the stairs to greet me. Low and behold, she had been stuck in the upstairs of an abandoned house for several days just a block behind my house. I swept her up and we ran out of there as fast as we could. I remember hearing my neighbour’s dog Raven barking as we left the house.
Today, I am overjoyed to have Mitts at home again. She is much more careful about not staying out at night and we are both grateful for Kim’s help. With her guidance and information from Mitts, we were both able to find the courage to locate one another.
