Reiki For Animals

Reiki is an ancient Japanese laying-on of hands energy healing modality. It was used for centuries to help with many ailments on all levels of the body i.e. physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. In the early 1980’s this beautiful modality was brought to the U.S. and today is used on humans in various settings, i.e., hospitals, hospice, spas, etc. It is with a deep honor and respect that I wish to bring these energies to our animal friends as well.

Reiki means universal (Rei) energy (Ki). During energy healing sessions Reiki is channeled into the energy field of an animal to help them clear any blockages and maintain good energetic flow. Reiki can be performed with or without touch and can be given to an animal in-person or long distance.

Animals love receiving Reiki because it is gentle, nurturing, and non-invasive while always working for the highest good of the animal. In my experience it brings comfort and healing to an animal in any situation or crisis.

Reiki helps animals to heal at a “cause” level. For instance, if an animal is displaying signs of aggression, Reiki aims to help the animal feel more balanced emotionally in their current life, while also helping the animal to heal from the original cause/source of the behavior no matter how long ago it happened. This is excellent for animals who have suffered past trauma and have found new loving homes, but need help adjusting to their environment and human friends.

In my experience Reiki’s healing abilities are limitless and the result can be an overall balanced state of health, happiness and inner harmony for the animal.
